Re: Maestral and other winds...

To be honest, one of your recent posts reminded me of that option and am already up for that.
Thanks! For sparking an idea and for bringing it up.

Re: Maestral and other winds...

Many thanks for your consideration. I have not yet found a solution for image hosting and I`m all ears if you have some suggestions. Lack of interest came along with the deletion of some of the images from this topic (on db) and the same happened on some other forums. Some alternatives (some even of...

To me, it`s a remarkable piece of work if a count of 20 items is taken into consideration. Still, those 'only 20' just adds to your "cheap" nature, as for that wedding present ,)

You`re in the wrong app, mate. Inkscape is a vector editor, not the animation tool ,)

... At the end of the process I need vector too, so exporting to bitmap is not a good solution. Shall I add a forum signature: "Told you so!" ,) Again, seriously - brace yourself for a CMYK gradients ! https://intranet.mcad.edu/sites/default/files//userimages/Service__Bureau/gamut.jpg

Re: Changing transparent objects to colored

@ OP Your posts are quite ambiguous and you haven`t even stated what do you need at the end - raster or vector? Either way - you played with coloured glass pieces (vectors) and would like to turn them into wood, metal... (raster) If you played with coloured glass and would like to have a nice vitrag...

Re: Can Inksape deal with more than 10,000 objects?

A few things I`ve noticed... - Disable Snapping while moving across the deck / Shift+5. In general, while Snapping is active, IS it watching over given references for snapping and mouse movements prepared to jump in with a snap. Now, bear in mind on how many nodes IS has to watch out in your file ,)...

Re: What Inkscape version allows me to make a silhouette image?

Have you thought about making a screenshot capture from your magical 3-button-click-program and then trace it in IS?

By the way, which program is it?

Re: What Inkscape version allows me to make a silhouette image?

Well, if only you could see the other images shown on Pinterest, you`d notice that your desired result is most commonly know as - stencil, not a silhouette.

All that could be wrong here may not be about your IS installation but about your search keywords ,)

Re: Artefacts with calligraphy tool

I`ve tried with proposed settings and there is some "noise" https://farm5.staticflickr.com/4300/35928426636_270b2490f9_z.jpg ...but when this kind of swift movements is applied - I would not look for a clean look, even on paper. I still can`t get that many holes, as in the initial post. Th...

Re: Artefacts with calligraphy tool

Your screenshot would be more informative if you had a Calligraphy tool active in that moment. As is, you have the fill rule set to fill the holes but I couldn`t replicate your issue - neither with the tablet nor with the mouse. The most certain way to check if it is a bug or not might be to draw an...

Re: unsupported .svg assets

Might depend on the content of your drawing. If you used filters or similar effects - AS most likely would not be able to "digest" it. AFAIK, simple drawings (so to say, plain) are quite well "digested" by AS. * You should also check the import option in AS and scaling of those i...

While using a freehand tool / :tool_calligraphic: / hold Ctrl and draw a parallel line next to the existing one, which shall be already selected. Search the web for image hosting, make a pick, register, upload and use the link to share the image with us.

Other than that, could you add a line or two about why do you need Inkscape in the whole endeavour?
