Re: Mathematical formulae

Well, I tried a fix mentioned in one of those links where they talk about editing textext.py.
Tried that, didn't work. I did get a different error, though.

And changing python? All I know about a python involves reptiles

Re: Mathematical formulae

Well, I tried them all, installing ghostscript, pstoedit, textext, but nothing worked. I still don't have the LaTeX option under "Effect-> Render". I do have a Tex Text now, but get the same error I read about in another thread. [EDIT]The error about: RuntimeError: Neither pygtk nor Tkinte...

Mathematical formulae

Hi there,

I would like to create math formulae in Inkscape.
When searching the web, I found something about LaTex en TexTex.

I'm unable to get it running. I searched this forum for help, but I get info that I don't understand

Running Inkscape 0.48.4 on Windows 7.

Re: Snapping issue after 0.48.4 update

I have the same problem, but I'm unable to resolve it myself. I re-installed Inkscape as well and snapping to the grid is now not working... When I draw a circle, snapping is working. It snaps the cursos to the grid and when I click and drag to draw the circle, it snaps as well. However, when I want...

Re: Transferring image to MS Word

@brynn: - I'm on a Windows 7 64-bits platform. - Indeed resizing the emf-file does the trick. @Mathieu147 and @brynn I tried PGN-export, but it was very blurry. However I hadn't noticed that I could set the resolution. Gonna try that to. I can't import svg in MS Word. Too bad, that's something for M...

Transferring image to MS Word

Hi there, I created a image in Inkscape and I'm trying to transfer it to MS Word. I tried several things: - When I just selected the entire image and than copy-pasted it to MS Word, I get a blurry result. - I tried saving it as a wmf-file, but that results in a crash of Python.exe. I read about this...

Re: Marker and length

How about this for a solution:
I use my costum marker and then convert my line to a path. The two corners sticking out from under the marker become nodes, which I can move back a little, without changing the location of the marker.

Still I think it shouldn't be this hard...

Re: Resizing changes angle

Here is a screenshot of what I'm experiencing:

First I drew the two black lines. Then I duplicated the rotated black line and selected it (F1). I switched snapping off and changed the size of the red line. Now they don't overlap anymore...

Re: Marker and length

I'm proud! I altered code for the first time. It didn't solve the problem completely thought. I copied the code of my favorite marker, changed the name to my own marker and edited the offset. The result is that the marker now end EXACTLY at the end of my line. Now I have this problem (I changed the ...

Re: Resizing changes angle

I tried again (seeing the same thing) and did the following: ⋅ With snapping on, I drew a vertical line with the starting node exactly at a crossing of the grid. ⋅ I duplicated this line and with the Transform tool I rotated it 30 degrees. ⋅ With snapping still on, I re...

Resizing changes angle

Hi there, I just posted a question on markers, but I've got another question. When making an physics drawing with angled lines I did the following: ⋅ Because I needed exact angles I first drew a horizontal line ⋅ I used the Transform option to rotate the line exactly 30 degrees &...

Marker and length

Hi there, I'm new to using Inkscape. I've tried some things and I very impressed by the possibilities. I'm using Inkscape mainly to draw chemistry equipment and drawings for physics (for example refraction of light). With physics drawings I'm experiencing some difficulties. I've searched the web for...
