Re: Tangent lines?

Hi

Very Nice !!

"Difficult" to find in the "Render" extension group - might be worth making it's own "CAD_Tools" or something similar?

Might also be useful to catch input errors which now result in "math domain error"?

Nice Code!

Re: Unwanted duplicated nodes

Hi. Moini, by using your preferences file I still get the same result, the 8 node path turns into a 9 node path when moved. Even without duplicating the path this happens here. Are you "monitoring" the number of nodes in the status line? As the duplicate are on top of another node the dupl...

Re: Unwanted duplicated nodes

Hi Interesting case. The object with 8 nodes can be moved small distance without getting an extra node. When moving a larger distance the extra node appears. This is true for all the 8 node objects in Ponny's file. Tried experimenting with the number of decimals in the path string. (made a small pyt...

Re: Path outset problem

Hi

Interesting! I can confirm the same behavior on my system as well.
I use Inkscape 0.92.3 (2405546, 2018-03-11) on Win10.

When I set the outset preferences to 5px (pixels) i get an offset of 5mm.

Might be an "undocumented feature" (bug) in the current version?

Re: How to make my own personalized color pallette

Hi. Yes - just use notepad. The gpl file is a "pure" text file - decoded by Inkscape (or GIMP) to give you a palette. I have made several python programs to generate nice palettes. Search the forum for "palette" to find a few of the generated palettes. Like this one: http://www.i...

Re: How to make my own personalized color pallette

Hi. This is easy. Find your palette.gpl file, rightclick the file and choose "open with"- select your favorite text editor, you can use notepad on a windows system. You will then see something similar to this in your palette file: GIMP Palette Name: Material Design Columns: 254 # 0 0 0 BLA...

Is it just me?
I see this as a dog-head profile where the dog has open mouth and bent ears.

Hi. Type unittouu in the search field on this forum to find recipes on how to fix this. By the way "unittouu" is abbreviation for "unit to user unit". There are a few different ways of fixing this depending on how the extension was programmed. You can first try: change all occurr...

Hi.

Works fine using the sans-serif font.
(Some other fonts give you a "plain" v for the same unicode.)

The unicodes can be found here

Re: drill file, how to made?

Hi. Inkscape might not be the best program for designing PCB's. There are a lot of free PCB cad programs better suited for the job. Eagle PCB is very popular - the free version is good for hobbyists. If you want to stick to Inkscape here are some links worth looking at: http://nerdclub-uk.blogspot.n...

Re: drill file, how to made?

Hi. In what program did you design your PCB? The PCB cad program should be able to make the drill files. The excelleon file is not much more than a list of coordinates for the PCB holes. You can "generate" these files with a text editor by getting the coordinates in Inkscape. See the excel...

Re: convert svg to jpg

Hi. I seem to lose extensions with uploads, so will wait until I upgrade to 92.2. A lot of the recommendations (some found here on the forum) on installing extensions tells you to install them in the Inkscape install directory. For me this is not the best solution as the extensions will not "su...

Re: [Extension] Draw from triangle: draw normals from the incentre

Hi.

You are asking for calculations but refer to the extensions - do you need to calculate the points or just draw the normals?

Extensions - Draw From Triangle - Contact Triangle - will give you the points.

Easy to draw the normals using snapping.

Re: Convert fill to stroke

Hi. For efficient plotting you would want a continuous line, the plotter would then not need to lift the pen which slow down the plotting. Easiest way to add hatching which is a continuous line is to use the extensions made for the Eggbot plotter. Eggbot Overview Link to the extensions: Extensions L...

Hi

Press the '5' key on the main keyboard - if you use the keypad make sure it's in 'Num-Loc' mode.

Good Luck
