Re: Interpolation Extension Bug ?

Looks like a bug where the clones indicate a 1px stroke, but there are none when the links to original are broken. :-/

Re: Interpolation Extension Bug ?

Funny how when the clones are adjacent, they look like they all have gradients... but they are truly solid colors.

Extra nodes are not a problem in this case. YMMV

Re: Interpolation Extension Bug ?

I only see one square with 9 nodes. The others have a variety 15, 16...

I don't know if I'd call it a bug... It's not cloning.

You could use clones and shift the luminance value.

Re: Text along path

The path might not be a single line.

I'd use the bezier pen tool and make sure the pen is drawing a single line with no shape effects (check the pen controls).

Re: Create a practice A4 page for calligraphy

Fast and dirty: Make a 600mmsq rectangle and convert to guides, delete rectangle. Make two vertical lines using the guides (lines 600mm apart). Use interpolate extension to make 199 lines inbetween, to get total of 201 lines, 3mm apart. Rotate all 50 degrees and move over the A4 page area. Printing ...

Re: (solved)Inkscape accessing more cores for Ungrouping.

There is a hover handle between panels that can sometimes reduce panel size... it's fiddly. Also can depend on when the panels are docked... sometimes the open panels can be scrolled vertically.

Re: Making hexagonal honeycomb lattice

I'm no math wiz, but if you stick two hexagons together you can "read" the needed shifts. The horizontal offset will need to be 50% per column to nest. Since the height of each "point" (top and bottom) is 25% the height of the vertical sides, the vertical (y-shift) needs to be +7...

Re: Inkscape not picking up font weight

I just tried installing roboto regular only and that worked ok as normal. Then I installed medium and that seems to appear as medium with regular still appearing as normal. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/t1j8xp3bwk2oarr/2017-11-11_18-42-38.gif I'll try adding the rest of the family to see if anything gets...

Re: DXF output

I'd reinstall first... a recent user with a similar issue seemed to get going with just a uninstall/reinstall.

There may be some relevance to 32 bit, 64 bit exe or msi, etc., so I'd try the same as I used before.

G'day,

On Windows systems, other users have had success with lmxl errors by re-installing Inkscape 0.92.2, particularly if Inkscape was most recently updated from 0.91.

Re: (solved)Inkscape accessing more cores for Ungrouping.

I don't see any need to ungroup the whole drawing. Here is a double-click to enter the group, zoom, select, copy. Paste into new document, group, rotate. https://dl.dropbox.com/s/m8mng7o6tdjd7nm/2017-11-10_10-13-08.gif Ungroup or enter group to edit/delete any of the objects. No need to see nodes at...

Re: Inkscape accessing more cores.

And you know you can double-click to drill down to the objects you want to copy, right...? You don't necessarily need to ungroup the entire document to get the bits you want.

Re: Inkscape accessing more cores.

Maybe you can link or share one of the big problem files. The example provided is a single group and easy-peasy.

A lot of the processing with ungrouping is related to the display of the bounding boxes, so there may be a faster way by modding the XML.

Re: Inkscape accessing more cores.

It takes my i7 laptop about 2min to ungroup the 8800+ objects.

Not sure there is any need to node-edit all objects at once, so I'm unclear on where the big bottleneck occurs.

Re: few issues

Inkscape does not support more than one page per document... no artboards, no tabs.

You might try exploring the tutorials in the help menu.

The help also has a link to the manual (online).
