Re: Is it possible to adjust the width in the bezier curve?

It works for me with 0.92.2.

Changing the width doesn't do anything if you haven't pasted the pattern yet. Could you maybe not have pasted it yet?

Really would need to see your SVG file, to figure out where things are going wrong.

I thought he was describing the line height issue, which is indicated near the bottom of the download page as a known issue. But truly, it's hard to say, without more detailed info.

Yes, if you use text a lot in Inkscape, that bug would be a problem. It's not fixed yet.

Re: Video tutorial on how to make a sign

Curious why you're not using the current stable version (0.92)? For a beginner tutorial, I would have the canvas set up to View menu > Default. Rather that switch between the docked dialogs, I would open from either a menu, or a command bar button, so a beginner knows where to find them. Or else, ex...

Extensions menu > Web

I heard of people using Inkscape for sprite sheets, although that might be more for games.

More specific questions will likely get more specific answers.

Re: Text along path

If you mean you want the text along the path, but not resting on the line - it's easier than you might imagine. ....Well, there are probably other ways to do it, but this is how I would do it. Just make a path for wherever you want the text to be (like a duplicate of the first path, and move it upwa...

Re: Rearranging words and resizing the font and rearranging the whole text to fill as much as possible of a rectangle

I'm not understanding the question. Here, the width is obeyed: Here, the height is obeyed: How can I accomplish that? It looks like you did accomplish it. Are you saying that you want the text to be automatically adjusted for any given size of rectangle? This is a classic case of not having enough i...

Re: Snap or Constrain Erase

Oh wow, my Eraser tool is actually working, for the first time! I don't think there's any way to erase in a straight line, with Inkscape. But even if it could, I would probably advise against using the Eraser tool, because in my experience, it tends to be buggy, or doesn't always work, or work prope...

It wouldn't be my first choice, but you could make a custom grid and rotate it. Extensions menu > Render > Grids or Path menu > Path Effects > Construct Grid Off Topic Moini, your video is having some kind of ghosting issue for me. Not sure if you see it? https://inkscapecommunity.com/jd/ss/vg.png

Re: Uninstalled Font still usable in Inkscape

When you've said in the past that you use Microstock site to sell your art, I always thought the "micro" was for MS. And I would expect MS to know everything about fonts - or at least hire people who do - or recruit volunteers, if that's the case. But maybe it's not related to MS? It seems...

Or you can temporarily "minimize" the dialog. It used to be called "iconify". If you click the tiny button which is a black triangle inside a black square border (it points to the left, oddly enough, since the dialogs iconify to the right) and which is just to the left of a tiny ...

For scaling to a specific size, Object menu > Transform > Scale. There you can choose your units, if you need to, and set the specific size. Be sure to check the box for keeping proportions.

For the gray box issue, just to share - I haven't seen that. It doesn't go away until I bring Inkscape back to the t...

Hah! Love your motto (getting old aint for sissies). Now you're talking another old brain :D The handles show up because when you use the Node tool to push or pull a path, it makes it curve. Besides pushing or pulling on the path, you can use the handles to adjust the curves. I think there's a way t...

Yeah, that's the problem with tiled clones is that you pretty much have to be a math or geometry whiz, to be able to use it. By the time I figure out the right numbers to use, I could have "manually" duplicated and snapped together a whole page. In the example you showed, the author has hi...

Re: Stroke not working on Group object

To me, it should not require an extra step to specifically apply a stroke to a group, when the objects in the group already have a stroke. By the time I do all that, I could ungroup them, change the width and re-group. I don't see any way that this behavior is an improvement. But I have the recollec...

Re: How to change white mouse cursor to something visible?

The Inkscape pointer should be different for each tool. (I can't make you a screenshot, because mine doesn't capture the mouse or pointer.) Do you see the all-white arrow pointer for every tool? If we can't solve the pointer issue, you could change the canvas background to any color you want. Docume...
