Re: Has Inkscape fixed it's ppi issue yet?

As mentioned a few times already, Photoshop and Inkscape are like apples and oranges -- entirely different. Inkscape creates and edits vector graphics , while Photoshop edits raster graphics (photos). While they have some overlaps (text, for example), that's where it ends. Inkscape cannot edit phot...

Off topic ....just to make a stand for your fangirl activity. Huh?? "fangirl" Is that a social media thing? It always amazes me when other people tell me what I'm thinking or feeling, or what my motivation is for something or other -- yet without ever having a personal conversation with me...

This particular bug should be fixed in 0.92.1

The current stable version is 0.92.2 already.... Except maybe for Mac, depending on how you install it.

What kind of operating system do you use? If Windows, here are instructions: https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/#how- ... es-windows

If other system, please post a new topic about this, and we can try to help.

I'm not sure if winzip will unpack a GZ or RAR. But 7Zip will. I like and would recommend 7Zip.

Since you're asking for extension, that's what made me think you wanted GIF animation. I answered you other recent message about animation, with other info.

Here's the tutorial for the playable guitar: http://goinkscape.com/create-a-playable-guitar-using-inkscape/ It's about the only vector animation tutorial I've seen, which a beginner might be able to follow. (Maybe the other animation tutorials from Aaron Nieze too.) It uses Snap.SVG. There are many ...

Re: Double bezier lines

Can I salvage my earlier drawing (making it export as single lines only) or do I have to start again? If we could see your SVG file, it would help us answer that question. (I don't think attachments are allowed on this board, so tylerdurden's suggestion would be the best way) I know this is going t...

How odd! Plus, I didn't think you could do a username search without being logged in already. Maybe it wasn't a username search, and the search tried to break up the string into words? Like maybe it searched "sea"....although that doesn't seem all that common.... Or maybe it recognized &qu...

https://duckduckgo.com/?q=classical+Spanish+Guitar&t=seamonkey&iax=images&ia=images You can also try differnet search terms, such as what TD suggested. After you choose an image, save it, then import into Inkscape. Then use the Pen/Bezier tool to trace it "manually". Do you nee...

Very cute!

But yikes - I can't hardly get my fingers into that position. My thumb won't turn like that.... Oh, there we go. If I point my fingers outwards, like shooting a pretend gun, it works. But facing my palm towards me, like in the image - awkward.

Re: Inkscape file opening blank

If the file is too large to attach, even though it's blank, there's a chance the image is still "in there" somewhere. It could be as simple as - you hid the layer or all the layers? I know that happened to me once. A very complex image I had been working on for days or weeks, off and on. I...

Re: Join connected line segments that form open structure

Thousands.... If it's relatively a few open ends, you could do Select All, and then while holding Shift, deselect individually the open end nodes. Or depending how the paths are laid out, you could strategically drag selection boxes, while holding Shift. See quick video: https://inkscapecommunity.co...

the fonts have a default font family that is :( The font family is sad? Let me make sure I understand the problem. Here's what I observe. Re: Changing the Default Export Location

Since the location to export PNG is saved per document, the user default.svg can have the location saved for use with each new document. Oh, interesting -- I had no idea that was possible! But you still have to name the file, right? Hhmm, I see that for the Selection option, Inkscape gives the name...

Re: Changing the Default Export Location

I'm not clear what you mean about the default location for exporting PNG files. Do you mean that when you use File menu > Export PNG, you want Inkscape to automatically put the files in some particular folder or directory? As far as I understand, you have to choose the location with every export. Bu...

Re: Diffuse Lighting - Surface scale

It's entirely possible that such a change has occurred, as Inkscape becomes more and better developed. I do seem to recall a Diffuse Lighting filter in older versions, which would have included more than just the Diffuse Lighting primitive . I'd have to have a look at the specific filter which is re...

I'll still post the video, since it's already done. https://inkscapecommunity.com/jd/vids/en.mp4 I'm sure there's a keyboard shortcut for that command to join selected nodes with a new segment. See Help menu > Key and Mouse Reference. You might be able to select a few paths and nodes, and close a fe...
