Re: Switch icon sizes

What I usually do is drawing on a square template (32x32px) canvas and export resolution via->Image Size Width+Height=32x32/64x64/128x128 etc. As I need tiff/72dpi in the end I use GIMP´s batch processing for that. For what I need as an icon forger for UI icons is just 32x32/64x64(Retina resolution)...

Exactly - I have now changed Inkscape´s UI language to English - hopefully it will prevent me from using the wrong terms in the future.

I found the most precise way is to make a bigger outline, convert to path&separate:

Re: Using Font Awesome inside Inkscape

Yes. Both will work: drag&drop SVG onto the Inkscape canvas and import via file menu->Import (cmd+I) on macOS. A third method will be to open the SVG and copy&paste into your existing opened file. Can´t tell for Windows etc though.

Still just http?

Since today macOS won´t allow me to auto-login into a none-safe forum. I can manually - but you might get the idea. :geek:

Re: Using Font Awesome inside Inkscape

If you get the desktop version from here:https://fontawesome.com/how-to-use/on-the-desktop/setup/getting-started
you can load SVG from the repository. You might need a quick viewer to find what you need.

Hi.
There´s an explicit dialog for exporting different things like page, drawing, selection, user defined:

Re: Colour filling

Because there are already paths I recommend to convert the lines with alt+cmd+C, unite everything to separate in the next step to receive individual parts you can color with the fill&contour (shift+cmd+F)toolset to your liking:

I guess it depends on the size of your object and the line thickness: try to get access of the contour and adjust it accordingly:

Re: increase path misforms my text

polygon, since we now have the paint-order, the stacking is no longer needed (in your version, it might still be, though). Correct - I still use ∼suv´s native macOS devel version from 2015. Also, polygon, would you help us and try out the beta dmg file when it's out? It's not going to take long any...

Regarding the topic "overlapping" I guess it´s more about a vector eraser tool than simply joining endpoints:

Hi.
I believe the masking is the crux here; after making some objects filled paths and some boolean operations it will render properly:

I´say I skip filters in Inkscape wherever possible as I don´t think its implementation is made for humans. :o Did you ever seen the CoreImage filter effects in macOS vector apps and you know what I´m talking about. Here´s a filter built in another app in 15 sec and exported to SVG with intact fi...

That made me curious. Inkscape 0.924 fails to load the eps. The alpha build I have fails to load it too. Imagemagick viewer loads it, but cannot print to pdf as expected. Don't really know what to expect upon further investigation. Online imagemagick converter fails to convert the file. As I said I...

Re: Having trouble with union I think

Inkscape does have an extension which I thought it's purpose is to join many short segments together. But I just tried it in your file, and it does not join the nodes. Apparently it only combines them. (https://github.com/fablabnbg/inkscape-chain-paths) I don´t think I need an extension on that par...
