Re: Consistent resolution across image

My best guess and the easiest way is to take it e.g. into GIMP and go Image->Scale image and take the same px width alike the other images. In Inkscape I find it a bit harder to do. There´s -> Extension->Raster->Resample where go can tell which px size the image should have. But it stays 1:1 on the ...

Hi.
Your file already contains lots of rasterised images like "Homecoming", "Henry´s Walks", and the frame and all grouped inside groups inside groups inside groups inside groups etc.
Try to ungroup everything then try again:

I use this software for 99% of my work and use the other (which not illustrator) for some things that I can't do it with Inkscape.

I´m curious what that case might be.
For me it´s just the other way around; I come to Inkscape for what others don´t offer.

Re: Sometimes inkscape don't do what we demand to do

Hi. I didn´t work in first place because the "A"s are a group coming from converting text with Object-to-path. For the second on the right combine the stripes first to make a compound path - then use Cut Path and go for a good cleaning up. If you don´t need just the path building you can c...

Re: How to Remove blank interstices on pattern

This damn anti aliasing thingy is anoying - but we can not do much about it. A trick before exporting is to select all and double (cmd+D) 1, 2 or 3 times which will eliminate the issue. Don´t forget to undo or you will be in trouble when altering the design. Adobe Illustrator is the only app I know ...

Re: export png to word then convert to pdf

To Polygon, Can I use a white background directly (change alpha channel to 255)? Will this raise problems later? Many thanks! The image above shows no difference when placed in a vector.app. I´m not sure if you need a transparent background or not. If you need it - place it underneath your design a...

Re: export png to word then convert to pdf

Hi. I know it´s a default setting but maybe worth checking: background color: Backgroundcolor.jpg Make sure there´s no object behind the shape you want to export. You can upload an example file so we can check if it´s alpha channel is intact. Or you can try this png image as I don´t have Word to tes...

Re: Switch icon sizes

What I usually do is drawing on a square template (32x32px) canvas and export resolution via->Image Size Width+Height=32x32/64x64/128x128 etc. As I need tiff/72dpi in the end I use GIMP´s batch processing for that. For what I need as an icon forger for UI icons is just 32x32/64x64(Retina resolution)...

Re: Using Font Awesome inside Inkscape

Yes. Both will work: drag&drop SVG onto the Inkscape canvas and import via file menu->Import (cmd+I) on macOS. A third method will be to open the SVG and copy&paste into your existing opened file. Can´t tell for Windows etc though.

Re: Using Font Awesome inside Inkscape

If you get the desktop version from here:https://fontawesome.com/how-to-use/on-the-desktop/setup/getting-started
you can load SVG from the repository. You might need a quick viewer to find what you need.

Because there are already paths I recommend to convert the lines with alt+cmd+C, unite everything to separate in the next step to receive individual parts you can color with the fill&contour (shift+cmd+F)toolset to your liking:

I guess it depends on the size of your object and the line thickness: try to get access of the contour and adjust it accordingly:
