Re: Changing contrast text in its box

tylerdurden and Moini, That was the solution for my Linux KDE5-plasma desktop!! :D In my linux KDE4 desktop there is no such option as "Apply colors to non-Qt applications" but instead there is "Apply colors to non-KDE4" applications and that possibility is still checked giving n...

Changing contrast text in its box[Solved]

Have to confess that I do not know if this has something to do with my O.S. (LinuxOS KDE5-Plasma) or that I can do this with modifying something in Inkscape 0.92: When hoovering over an icon, for instance an icon in the ToolBox, the function of the icon (for instance "Draw freehand lines")...

You're welcome! Just as a general suggestion... You might want to prepend [solved] to the title of your first post. So, people quickly see in the overview: problem satisfactory solved, no more help needed... and people having the same problem can expect a solution in this thread... If I browse the ...

disappearing handles[Solved]

In the latest Inkscape version 0.92, when I draw a straight line and want for instance to make it longer/shorter, I use of course first F1, select that line and on both ends "handles" appear. Then selecting one of the handles with my cursor to modify the line those "handles" disa...

Re: Large space between text lines

Well, somehow I managed to set things as I had before. I did not exactly know what caused my problems but both the spacing and that navigating when using those arrow keys are working now. God do I regret having updated Inskape without any second thoughts :( Next time I will be very VERY cautious......

Re: Large space between text lines

Thanks you all, but normally I do not have to change that spacing to the desired one when I once have done that. But now I have to do this every time when entering text to get a good result. Is there a default value that I can somewhere set? And moreover, when entering text (create and edit text obj...

Re: Large space between text lines

Thanks tylerdurden for your reply but,......
I do not understand a word of it.
I DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING and AFTER that version update ALL my
schematic diagrams, when I want to change text, show this stupid space.
And I do not have the foggiest idea how to correct this!!

Large space between text lines

After the large Inkscape update to version 0.92, I am facing the problem which I have shown in the attachment. On the left of the vertically placed resistor symbol, in the new version there is a large space between R2 and 2k. I did this next to the situation which was in the older version. Whatever ...

Re: Inkscape refuses to restore geometry

brynn, sorry for my late response. A lot of other issues took my attention.
But my problem resembles closely that of bug number 195683.
I am afraid I have to wait until this bug is solved :( , or can I do some fiddling?

Inkscape refuses to restore geometry

A4-millimeter Cartesian Grid almost impossible to use

After constructing an A4 Cartesian grid and then adding a new layer upon it to draw a characteristic, I experience a huge slowdown when starting to draw some lines in that new layer. Cannot understand why because that Grid.svg is only a 25kB file. I certainly did something completely wrong when cons...

Re: Letter in a font truncated after zoom in

Do I understand you correctly: this wichita serial is equel to wicker sf? After visiting this site I noticed that you have to register to get those fonts.
I am very reluctant to do these kind of things unless absolutely necessary.

Re: Letter in a font truncated after zoom in

Thanks Polygon for your response.

"Have you checked this issue with a more common font like Times for instance?"

As I wrote above only Wicker- and Caspar-SF are showing this. Tested a lot of fonts but
not one of them showed this.

Re: Letter in a font truncated after zoom in

I did some further investigations on this and discovered that this cutting the last part of a letter only happens with the letter "r" and only with two fonts: Wicker SF and Caspar SF. I have two computers both running Linux distros in dual boot: Linux Mint 17.1 64bit dual boot with PCLinux...

Letter in a font truncated after zoom in

Never have experienced this before: When I use the letter "r" in the Wicker SF font and after zooming larger than about 185%, that letter is truncated. I only see this when this letter used as the last one. If followed by another letter, this does not happen. And it is only with this parti...

Re: Cropping a drawing using Clip and Set not working

Hi. Some general notes. Layers are implemented as "special groups". You cannot clip two objects on two different layers with "the same" clipping path. (You could clone the clipping path on a layer and use the clonnes for clipping on others though but that's unnecessary most case...
