Re: Removing Boundary Lines Between Objects

Next time, you'll be faster using the Bézier tool and snapping to the grid. Then you can draw the figure in one (or two, for the nine) line.

Re: Image doesn't appear after importing

Hi Mathias, can you please let us know which Inkscape version you are using (see Help -> About) and on which operating system?
If you're not using 0.92.2, can you then please update?

Re: SVG file not fitting 100% in div; also, pgn and svg file different size.

Some things that I'd try for solving the issue,:

- remove the 'height' for .vignette_img_div
- and also for .vignette_img

I agree about the aspect ratio thing.

You can check the box model view in your browser's dev tools

Re: SVG file not fitting 100% in div; also, pgn and svg file different size.

Thanks for the screenshots, they seem to demonstrate your issue (although it's hard to see what exactly has been screeshot in the first image, and which part of it is the SVG and which is the margin that isn't right).
Now we'd also need the SVG and the html (aka example files) to comment any further.

Re: How to recreate this typography with inkscape

If you have the font ready, and want to change its perspective, you can also use the perspective/envelope path effect for it (plus the extension, after doing Path > Object to path to flatten the path effect.) 1. Type text 2. Keep it selected, do Path > Union 3. Path > Path effects... 4. + 5. Select ...

Those are archive files, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archive_file.

You need to unpack them.

A common software used to extract them on Windows is winzip, I think - but others may know better.

Re: Has Inkscape fixed it's ppi issue yet?

For a color-managed workflow and brochures, Scribus is the way to go, if you want to use free software. It all depends on what exactly you want. You may need to combine multiple tools for best results: Gimp for raster images and photos, Inkscape for vector art, Scribus for typesetting and color mana...

Re: RUNTIME ERROR

There is a bug in Inkscape 0.92.2 that causes a crash when dragging on nodes, or on paths very close to a node. It will be fixed in Inkscape 0.92.3. If you frequently run into that crash and need a fix right away, you can use a development version, e.g. currently, the latest one is available here: h...

Re: Is there a tutorial to make a jpg curve? Or what's it called?

Nothing that can be done with Inkscape, if you want to deform a jpg, and not a vector image.

Use gimp, with its envelope deformation or other transformations (maybe you want barrel?), or use your Photoshop, if it's able to do it.

Depends. What have you been doing when you got the crash?

Also:
What is your operating system, which Inkscape version are you using, which file from the inkscape.org website did you use for installing? Can you reproduce the error reliably?

Yes, at Edit > Preferences > Interface.
To change the size of the palette color fields, click on the tiny arrow at the right of the palette.

This might not fix everything, but that's going to take until the release of Inkscape 0.93.

Or are you talking about raster image export (aka png export)?
Or ...?

Re: How to draw measures on drawing

I think there are a couple of options - one extension adds DIN like measurements, but they are only drawn when you run the extension. https://github.com/Rutzmoser/inkscape_dimensioning Then, there is the 'measure path' extension, in Extensions > Visualize path. Then, in 0.93, there will be self-upda...

Perhaps there was a path effect in effect? Make sure to not use any one of the 'shape' settings except 'none' when you draw your lines for cutting.
