Re: Windows 7 or vista..?

Linux should know to the users, not the other way around. Me my self never recommend Linux to people, if there are interested and want to fight the beast thats a another story. Because it's a fact, hardware comparability is a problem and that makes the marked small for a ordinary user. If it's a you...

Re: comic book panels

The squares in this example do not need any filling, you can set fill on the end result with white color when you have done the boolean operation. So you can work with only stroke and see the illustration under this layer, or use fill and use transparency on object or layer, it's up to you. On a lay...

Re: How to Flatten Layers Before Converting to a PDF

#1 If you save the image to a Plain SVG all layer is flatten to a SVG with no layers. #2 Unlock all the layers......mark one of them...........select all object "in" the image........Object/group. All object in the image is now in a group in the layer you had selected, all the other layer...

Re: Inkscape 64 bit?

Why? If you have more then 3GB memory, virtual and ram including, (Win) you must have 64bit CPU and 64 bitOS. If your computer has more than 4Gb of memory, virtual and ram including, (Linux), then you need to install the 64bit CPU and 64 bitOS in order to use all the installed memory. So if you have...

Re: Inkscape 64 bit?

In Win you can run 32 bit InkScape on 64 bit OS. In Linux it must be writen for 64 bit to run on a 64 OS If you compile it your self you use the same code for 32 as for 64 bit, the Source Tarball. On Linux you have Inkscape in your "program central" for your 64 bit OS, probably. I have 64...

Re: My deviant ID image

Thanks. Yes.....but, the image on the strip, on the left of the blue one with the hand, is a imported bitmap, but that to is made in Inkscape. I make many of my illustration as a kind of slow "phone Scribble". I have no plan, the ideas grows in the process of working. So when I started wit...

Re: I havent a clue, yet

It is in a early stage. The hands, birds, women are not in there final place, scale, angle. The different “block” get the editing when I believe in the result. And maybe the women will be taken away, I don't know. This is a improvisation, and anything can happen. If I keep the women, I will do more ...

Re: Tool Problem

Under File/Inkscape preferences/Tools.......Tweak................."Last used style".

I think "Last used style" is selected, so Inkscape will remember the last style you use.
Last used style is what I prefer to work with, but if you don't know about it, it's a problem.

Re: Help with Letter spacing

Try to select the text and do "Text/ Convert to text " if it doesn't work. I must do that, otherwise kerning doesn't work for me. Don't ask me why, the text is a text already but it seems to be a wake up call for Inkscape. Inkscape Tutorial by heathenx: Manual Text Kerning http://www.youtu...

Sorry, I don't know.
