Re: Maestral and other winds...

pretty nice stuff! i have to admit, i like the line style of the sketches a bit more than the digital outcome. i cannot watch the youtube - vid's because of bandwith limitations and maybe my question is already answered by the workflow shown in the videos - are you actually drawing the sketches by p...

Re: embroidery designs

thanks! About your problems/questions... I wonder where the 10,000 come into play. Granted, I don't really know about embroidery. Does this really require that many nodes?!? I'm just asking because in my own drawings I rarely ever have more than say 50 nodes in a single shape, most times there are f...

Re: tucan

thanks! Could you "shake" him/her a bit - some gesture with the wings or with the body? would be cool if i could easily do that but that's pretty hard. i'm still struggling with wings an their proportions. nice gestures with wings are somewhat of a challenge. at last i was experimenting wi...

Re: embroidery designs

..i think it's working as intended but there is still a long way to go. the workflow is pretty tricky when it is dealing with more complex objects than simple rectangles. once you have used a 2-click-solution, it's pretty hard to get used to it.

Re: svg to/from embroidery converter

hey, i'm running inkscape 0.91 and your extension on ubuntu 12.04. sadly, it doesn't work at all. shapely is installed correctly and is working correctly with the release of the extension by johnh. now your release won't and prints the error message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "emb...

Re: inkscape 0.92 about screen

i think the viewpoint you are looking at art doesn't really matter at all. who cares about being amateur or pro and who is determining what you are as an artist. like the wise saying "everything is art - art is everything", art has no standards. as long there is no judge determining art fr...

Re: inkscape 0.92 about screen

Hey, ha1flosse, that was only *my personal opinion* - I also wouldn't have voted for the kingfisher... I found it uninspired at the time, because it didn't have any specific relation to Inkscape - but liked the colors. Did you see the other entries? None of them up to now uses any of the new featur...

Re: inkscape 0.92 about screen

Good work :) Nice colors, and I especially like the 'Ink-Scape' in the background. Where did you meet him (or her)? thanks, met the lama at a paddock somewhere in the wilds. The format is wrong, maybe you reversed width and height? Your 'signature' is also still missing. I assume you already read t...

dancing flamingos embroidery artwork, actual state of work. made a pen and paper sketch and traced it a couple of times.
working with pen and paper is a lot of fun actually, and with some practice, can look nice too..
