Re: Windows 10 programs do not update

Is it inkscape that is being constantly being updated or all programs in your W10 ?
If this is the second then I'm afraid you're not on the right forum.
Maybe try this

I'm not sure we understood your needs. You're talking about looking at videos but I'm afraid you won't find any about your specific problem. You'll need to code it in javascript. Je ne suis pas sûr qu'on ait compris tes besoins. Tu nous parles de regarder des vidéos qui t'expliqueraient comment fair...

Re: vector graphics

AFAIK you can't embed external ressources in gimp (xcf files) but you can store a very limited subset of svg (= the paths) in xcf 1) no svg does not have resolution. 2) so your input image is 5400 * 7200 pixel wide. Yes you can scale you svg to be 540,5400 or 54000 (or 54000000) "pixels". ...

Re: Just want to print

http://www.barcodelink.net/barcode-font.php download 128 font Yeah, I think that's what Inkscape has too but the bar code looks different from the Amazon one that I attached above. Maybe Amazon uses a proprietary bar code. At least I don't have to generate it from the number so I don't really need ...

Nice one.

style="fill:#777" would work while fill="#777" won't because it superseded with the declaration in style. This surprized me ; this is not what you'd expect if you compare with html.

Re: Vector Art Optimization Challenge #2

Argh. Omitting space between transform items is not valid. The individual transform definitions are separated by whitespace and/or a comma that's 5 more bytes. We're no more under 800 bytes :( But i guess it's safe to assume the version="1.1" attribute could be discarded. That's 14 bytes l...

Re: Vector Art Optimization Challenge #2

by the way, v1nce's solution can further be improved that way to 804bytes: Well done Sir. There are still some unnecessary spaces remaining. And some numbers could be written as .x rather than 0.x. The new code would be less than 800 bytes (797 if I count it right) <svg width="1000" heigh...

Re: Vector Art Optimization Challenge #2

910 bytes (if you remove all unnecessary spaces) now center is fine loads fine in chrome/firefox. Not in inkscape. draw a circle of background color. draw the outer circle with dotted stroke and no fill size of a dot = 2*pi*radius / 46 = 0.1366 radius I choose a radius of 500 and a stroke width of 5...

Re: Vector Art Optimization Challenge #2

999 bytes. There are a few spaces that could be removed to make the file smaller, but on the other side the file is a bit off because of rounding errors (see the empty hole at the center) so I guess a precise version will still be under 1K <svg width="1000" height="1000" xmlns:xl...

Re: Is it possible to set the resolution in a template?

Make sure you start with a sane template (one where the unit is defined) (check that there are units in the svg with and height by looking at the xml (launch xml editor with shift ctfl x)) import it in your cad tool If the dimensions are right ...this never happens... else [that's probably because i...

Re: Is it possible to set the resolution in a template?

The answer is NO it can't be done using templates in inkscape. And NO you shouldn't have to specify DPI in Vector world because DPi makes little sense in vector worlds. The DPI is usefull only when printing (that only (very few) printers get it right) The PPI has never been usefull because nobody ev...
