Re: Saving as a High Res File

Check the size of the drawing, scale, measures, ect. but you could also check this page of Manual as well.

.png may provide a better image quality but once you get the satisfying quality - converting .png to .jpg should not be a problem.

Re: Is it possible to make 2d game art with inkscape?

Sure, but there`s a lot of sprites to be made.

p.s.
If you can organise and support the whole production - count me in. It`s been a while since I`d like to go for something like this.

Re: Precision Issue

Most likely, you have default settings and it might be better to keep it that way. When I followed your steps, the difference was there with the zoom at 200% but the one which you showed in the circle is at 25000% and in my case, not even that much wide as yours. There could be a load of reasons for...

Re: Precision Issue

When intersected or in other way trimmed, curves in IS tend to deform in a different fashion. Proportionally, green circle`s outline is more affected with this intersection, more than the blue one - hence this slight difference. p.s. Use the Node tool to compare the both outlines. p.p.s. The differe...

Re: How to automate rotation in order to export as video frames

Of course, FCP can deal with the rotation/s and other transformations. Even more, rgb pdf is also welcomed. I`m not quite sure if FCP would find the difference among the Adobe and IS pdf`s but it`s worth trying - you`ll get the vectors in your video which may only enhance the output. @SaturnusDJ Go ...

Re: Make the highlight on a shirt button

At this point, google is your friend - but, if you could post some examples (for logo`s and animation as well) we could narrow the scope.

i.e. - what do you consider to be a sexy feature? ,)

Re: New group of extensions related to guides

Unfortunately, it also does not work on 48.5
Duplicate options on drop-down menu and some errors reported when deployed.

I followed your remark regarding the working versions (48.0 and earlier) but apparently it includes 48.5 as well.

Re: Why is it so much trouble to select text?

I`ll never get used to this need for convincing someone why does the IS operates in a particular way. Since you find it that difficult to select the text properly, whether or not it`s selected, I presume you were not that often in situations to deal with a lot of text, a lot of editing but with not ...

Re: Why is it so much trouble to select text?

Not necessarily... because in some cases estranged designers do tend to stack, reorder and align text and other textual elements all over them self ,) When "+A" is shown, when Text tool is active, IS presumes you`re about to create something new (new line, new flow text box...) while "...

Re: Why is it so much trouble to select text?

@ Ged Text is selected when cursor can "read" the text`s position. Some fonts, even without sub or superscript, have a baseline (small rectangle at the beginning of the word, lower left) distanced from the actual letter. Whenever you have trouble with selecting, just make the cursor active...

Re: Help using Pencil type for the calligraphy pen.

Indeed, but there is a workaround...

Draw the desired shape with Bezier tool. While still selected, activate the Calligraphy tool and then hold Ctrl in order to have the initial shape as a guide. It is kind of tricky to manage but it is doable.
