Re: Why is it so much trouble to select text?

@ Ged Text is selected when cursor can "read" the text`s position. Some fonts, even without sub or superscript, have a baseline (small rectangle at the beginning of the word, lower left) distanced from the actual letter. Whenever you have trouble with selecting, just make the cursor active...

Re: Help using Pencil type for the calligraphy pen.

Indeed, but there is a workaround...

Draw the desired shape with Bezier tool. While still selected, activate the Calligraphy tool and then hold Ctrl in order to have the initial shape as a guide. It is kind of tricky to manage but it is doable.

Re: Help using Pencil type for the calligraphy pen.

You do realize that :tool_calligraphic: has several options, where one of the defaults behave quite similar to the provided example?

Re: Creating portrait stencils

Which part of the tracing process do you find frustrating?
Should be easy - Pen tool, click, move mouse/cursor, click... end so on.

Re: Morphing with Inkscape?

Most likely, you`d get nicer inbetweens if you switched the interpolation method. I did and here`s the result.... https://photos-1.dropbox.com/t/2/AABxUvz1dnycSKp9BdJ_3Ww64Ij5kci66Bnb8d44gPGyQw/12/5630231/png/32x32/1/_/1/2/morphant.png/EJjBmwQYxiIgAigC/c11OkYGWsw1z4x34-l6J93HpTIkRhElLYknHhkKWuGU?siz...

Re: Morphing with Inkscape?

^ It`s back. IMO, comparing morphing with interpolation, as we know it in IS, is not quite appropriate. Limitations related to interpolation are the true difference among these processes and expecting the desired (yet automated) results is closer to the crystal ball than to the reality. Also, expect...

Re: Shape Builder Tool

If you`re drawing in Inkscape once a month, you`ll fail to speed up your drawing with the existing behavior of the drop-down menu BUT if you use it frequently enough, you`ll get used to the existing shortcuts instead ,)

Linked video is almost 10 yr old and even then I was able to have it almost instantly done. I recommended it`s approach and if I were you, I`ll take another look since I think you must have turned left at Albuquerque somewhere along the way ,)

Re: Maestral and other winds...

Thanks, glad to hear and thanks for your interest. Drawings were made by the stylus, they`re digital and were later on re-drawn as vectors. Aside of that, many of those drawings could not be easily transferred into animations since they ought to be broken into portions/sections/pieces, most likely p...

I hope you`ll have enough patience to go trough the table of contents for this chapter of Manual.

As is, it`s difficult to say without knowing how does the photo look like, what method and steps shall be the most efficient.

Re: Maestral and other winds...

Hi, guys! Along with festive days, here`s something new from my kitchen. These are the ink drawings evolved into animations. So, from the initial sketch, trough ink, vectors, gifs and finally with some sound - here they are animated: https://p-ams1.pcloud.com/DLZytTS3kZoWAvikZfcplZZXYVx67Z3VZZxT5ZXZ...
