Re: Modern Compass Rose

So cool - what was your method for creating the little radial ticks all the way around the inside of that circle? I had to do that recently and I ended up moving the point of rotation to the center, changing the rotation snap to angle, and copy&pasting a lot...so I'm curious. :geek: Pretty clos...

Map of a Delta City

Unlike many of the folks here, I'm not that artistic, and my Inkscape use tends to be more on the "diagrammatic" side. This includes using Inkscape (and GIMP) for creating fantasy maps. Here is a a city map I am currently working on that shows a city built up on a river delta... http://www...

SO I'd like to be able to draw in mountains or trees (as an example) where I want them without worrying about overlapping, then just have then z-ord...

Re: setting z-order by position?

Can anyone point to a good scripting reference then? This would seem rather trivial to actually script, if I actually new HOW to script in Inkscape (I have used GIMP's script-fu... is there something similar?)

setting z-order by position?

Is there a way to "automatically" set z order of a bunch of objects based on their position?
