Re: no fear eyes

Hi Ade, Looks like your getting some good replies here. For me, the easiest thing to do would be to: 1. resize the page to fit your drawing. ( having the drawing outside the page might totally confuse the cutter. ) 2. Use the node editing tool to select and delete all the nodes that make up the inte...

Re: Inkscape Tutorial in Full Circle Magazine

Just downloaded issue 74 of full circle and thought I'd take a minute to say thanks for the tutorial. You did a good job with it. I liked the examples that you used, and as usual the writing was clear, to the point, and easy to follow. I dont like to use masks and clipping, but your explanations gav...

Hi R.Dash, Welcome to the forum, and to Inkscape. When I first started trying to learn inkscape, I also found this tutorial so confusing that I eventually gave up on it without getting trace results I really liked. Now that I've had a bit more practice with Inkscape, let me see if I can help you. Yo...

Re: How can I change the background of the ui to a darker co

Hi Ironorion, it sounds like your talking about the padding color. The padding color is usually determined by your operating systems themes. The window theme controls the padding color, window decorators, etc. If inkscape isnt using your theme's colors I'm afraid I dont know how to help you. Hopeful...

Re: Same color overlaing mixes colors

You could convert the strokes to paths using path>stroke to path then union the resulting paths using Path>union If you need to preserve the transparency you added to the stroke colour. If you want your objects to remain separate, or dont want to turn them into paths and this method wont work for yo...

Re: Inkscape Fonts

Your Installation of Inkscape will load the fonts that are installed on your computer, and should make them available for use any time you have the text tool open. Inkscape doesn't install fonts of its own when you install the program. Just install the fonts you want to use on your computer, and Ink...

Re: Inkscape Tutorial in Full Circle Magazine

Thank you xav, I'm going to download it now. Edit: ahah! I've got it. Great tutorial. Someone should tell the full circle team that the link to your tutorial in the magazine's contents table, actually leads to an SQlite tutorial. Your tut is on page 26, but the other is on page 21. As a matter of fa...

Re: Draw your favourite cartoon figures.

Here is my attempt at drawing some of my favorite Cartoon Characters. I couldnt decide on just one because I've enjoyed so many of them so much. Sorry it took so long for me to come up with anything, and I know the composition is unbalanced. I may eventually finish it, but wanted to upload something...

Re: vectorize piece of cardboard

Hi there, I often needed to make templates from paper test pieces I'd already cut, and I found it easiest to scan the paper piece and then trace the outline by hand in Inkscape. Just scan your paper or cardboard prototype and save it as a jpg, png, or whatever your scanner prefers, then open that im...

Re: Newbee question, how do I landscape the page?

I think Xav was trying to tell you that cd and dvd cover templates are included in the standard Inkscape document templates. When you create a new document while in Inkscape, from the file menu select "File>new". CD and DVD cover templates are listed in the drop-down menu, just scroll down...

I love Impress, but the thing I love most about Sozi is that I can create my entire presentation as an inkscape image, Drawing out all the elements for it on a single page.....then define and apply the transitions.
