I checked your site from the link you posted here, your project looks promising, and your character drawing has come a long way since your first post in this topic.
Good work

Re: basic cutting questions

Inkydinkydo, The doily you linked to is really lovely, lacy and very dellicate. it's certainly worth trying to cut it. Hope the company gets your cutter back to you soon. I've read that the eCraft tab system can be a little tricky to get used to, but a lot of people seem to really like it once they ...

Re: Looking for examples of forms, checksheets, etc

This article is very interesting, and also shows some examples of Inkscape created svg forms. http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/9283 Although I've never tried drawing entire documents in Inkscape ( programs like Libreoffice allow you to use the mail-merge features etc, and they are open source, so...

Re: basic cutting questions

Inkydinkydo, InDesign, and other cutter software packages use different conventions to tell the machine what is, and is not a cut line, so caveats and things to know will really depend on the cutter and software combination your designing for. If you haven't already visited http://www.inkscapecuttin...

Rotate and zoom in JessyInk arent new, and your right, Impress is a presentation heavyweight, while the plugins in Inkscape are more quick and easy lightweights. ...but I love being able to draw my graphics as I set up the presentation, and the simpler architecture of Sozi presentations appeals to m...

Re: resolution of output

Hi Raggy, Added note: I noticed that Brynn had answered your post while I was typing this, and mentioned raster content in a vector image. I had assumed you meant to convert your bitmaps to Vector, which is what you should do. This is because imported raster elements will continue to be raster (rast...

Re: Sozi with Inkscape

The problem with the playback of your Sozi file, was in the way that firefox handles SVG, rather than in Sozi. JessyInks' transitions etc seem mostly to be controlled by java, which most browsers handle very well. Sozi's transitions merely take advantage of the nature of svg itself, so some browsers...

Pilosopong Tasyo , Thank you for taking the time to investigate these questions so thoroughly. I replaced the Sozi files in their original location. After reassigning appropriate permissions to each file, Sozi once again appeared in the extensions menu. So far everything seems to be working fine. :)...

Inkydinkydo, Thanks for the new photo, I can see it much better now. :) yes, autotrace can distort things, no doubt about it. Hi Brynn, Unless you've checked the "log me in whenever I show up" box, you get logged out periodically when you aren't actively browsing the forum. Typing a long p...

Re: Sozi with Inkscape

HI Pilosopong Tasyo, Yes I know how to get the files. ( I have a copy of the files already as a matter of fact.) Normally I use the Sozi ppa, no problem. What I'm asking is.. 1. Why did apt (synaptic) remove it in the first place? 2. why doesn't it want me to re-install ? When I try to re-install So...

Sozi with Inkscape

I recently installed inkscape 0.48.4.r from trunk. I'm on a linux system using Cinnamon desktop manager. When I installed The new build of Inkscape, apt removed my sozi. I dont know why, but now I cant install Sozi and I'd like to have it for building tutorials. Is there a work around for this, or i...

Re: drawing lace with Inkscape

Flamingolady, OH yes! Your doily design looks wonderful cut and placed on the pink mat. You have no idea how much I wish I had a cutter so I could make some of the things we've all been designing. A swivel knife and a magnifying glass just doesn't do the job. But I am rambling. Your design looks bea...

Re: Draw your favourite cartoon figures.

spaventapasseri ,
Your Mickey mouse would look awesome as a desktop wallpaper, anything with a standard aspect ratio gets badly squashed
if it try to use it though. I've been wanting a new Inkscape wallpaper, and
Your drawing of Mickey cheerfully painting his message makes me smile.

Hi ha1flosse Yes we are interested in the SVG displacement maps and how to create them, so I for one would like to see your workflow over-view. thanks for posting this interesting topic. Vince, How did you create the scratched paint texture?
