Re: Better palette for inkscape

Hi. EDIT: i have one tiny complaint. Original palette said 50% grey (etc)... This palette has the code as a pop up. As the GPL file is a "normal" text file you can replace the hex code for the RBG values using your favorite text editor. The hex values for the "middle grey" (in th...

Re: Better palette for inkscape

Hi. Nice! Version 2 of the palette file works on my win system, version 1 did not. Small error in the code? According to the sRGB spec the RGB values should be rounded to the nearest integer, not the nearest lower integer. rgb = [int(math.floor(255.0 * v)) for v in rgb] to be replaced by; rgb = [int...

Hi. Can you: 1. Give us an example of what you are after? 2. Give us an example of the data used, ( drawing by hand might result in inaccuracies not suitable for proffesional results. I would rather plot the data using matplotlib & python. ) An houerly rate approximating what I get in my day job...

Re: What Inkscape Color Number for Red Oxide Primer?

Hi Try 140, 42, 29 for R, G and B respectively. The correlation between the position of the colors in the inkscape palette comes from their position in the palette file. You can make your own palettes by any text editor. See this thread: http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=13996&...

Hi. To get the greek letter µ (mu) entered into Inkscape do the following: Press F8 to get to text mode. Click with mouse on the canvas (Inkscape lingo for page) where you want your text. You will now have the text cursor on the canvas. Press Ctrl U to get into unicode entry mode. The status line at...

Hi

Try turning on ALL snap options. If you then get it to snap, turn them off one by one - testing in between until you find the one you need to enable.

Re: Tracing along bezier curves

Hi To have two objects share a line I would rather use the path difference to get the required shape. First make a rectangle covering your image - (use snapping). Select and duplicate (Ctrl D) your grey area, keep shift pressed and select your newly created rectangle. Perform a Path - Difference. Yo...

Re: Drawing a Circuit or Lab Set-up diagram

Hi But anyway it's impossible to fit - I need an easy way to draw many lines on some standard distances. Tho the only way to do it with Inkscape is by measuring the distances myself (pixels,cm or whatever). I reckon the reason you see this as impossible is that you are new to Inkscape, you will disc...

Hi.

Have a look at the Egg Maze Extension

The maze the extension creates is supposed to be "wrapped" around a cylinder (or egg) which explain the "cut off" ends.

Re: Drawing a Circuit or Lab Set-up diagram

Hi Have a look at the extensions, Ependorf, Erlendmeyer, Tube, Thermometer found here . If you are using Inkscape version 0.91 (or later) you have to edit the py files and change inkex.unittouu to self.unittouu for the extensions to work. Chime back if you need help doing this. Re: Exporting Nodes Coordinates

Hi. What did I do wrong?! You did nothing wrong, the handling of units changed from 0.48 to 0.91. You can fix this easily by editing the extension python file and change the inkex.unittouu to self.unittouu The extensions does work the same way for both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions. There are a few...

Hi.

Try saving as Optimized SVG - you will get even more options to "remove" items or "vacuum" your document.

By using the XML editor (Ctrl Shift X) you can view the content of the SVG file.
