repeated uniconifying of non-dockable dialogs

Hi Friends, This isn't a serious issue by any means, but is annoying me at the moment. It concerns those few dialogs which can be iconified, but not docked -- Document Properties, Fill/Stroke, Gradient. Every time I uniconify them, the position at which they appear is shifted slightly from where it ...

If I'm not mistaken, one can set the stroke width in the same manner.

Re: Cool Boy

Hi blaz_boy, I felt bad about not responding, because you've responded to my very beginner images. And this has been enormously helpful to me as a beginner. But it seems like you're tracing other people's work, and claiming them as your own. And I can't support that. I appreciate that you say you've...

Re: best way for a begginer to setup grid and snapping?

One beginner to another -- Actually I can't say I'm completely a novice, but compared to some of the work I've seen done with Inkscape, it will be quite some time before I can stop calling myself a beginner :D Part of the problem here may be (I'm guessing) that you haven't said to what you want your...

Re: Where can I upload my images?

It's only fresh image that I was not able to access. Images that had been hosted for a few days could be accessed. Interesting...My experience is just the opposite. I CAN access the freshly loaded image, but some time within the next few hours, access becomes intermittent (mostly unable to ...

Could you temporarily put the graph on a different layer, while you do whatever you need to do with the lines?

Re: How to scan

"scan into Inkscape"? Do you mean you have an image in your hands that you want to be able to open it in Inkscape? You would have to save it on your hard drive using a scanner (hardware). Then right-click and Open with Inkscape. Or else maybe you're looking for Trace Bitmap, from the Path ...

I completely agree about the 1st one, and the larger radiating shape being distracting -- completely agree. Yet somehow, I like it being there. I did try several different combinations with those central radiating shapes. BUt let me do some more experimenting. Maybe I can come up with a compromise? ...

Re: Selecting Objects of same Color/Style

I've run into this kind of situation before, when there is a hopeless number of objects to consider selecting them one at a time. One thing I've done, that's been successful, is to "rubberband select" everything, then holding down the Shift key, click the one background that you don't want...

old hippie flashback

Hi Friends, Ok, I'm summoning up all my courage, and posting here in the Finished Inkscape Work forum, an image I've recently finished (more or less), simplistic at best, amidst the work of many incredibly talented artists, whom I can only hope to one day emulate. Be kind to the little old lady, kid...

As I mentioned elsewhere (warning, long reads - http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1431 and http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1438) when I contacted petaIMG about the problems you're asking about micro, they said they would notify me when they fixed it. I have n...

No, I did NOT know about that. Is there a way to scale an object from the center, by using the toolbar, by changing its dimensions from the toolbar?

[solved] object size change around center (not bottom-left

Hi Friends, I had trouble wording the title, but here's what I'm wondering if others might support as a new feature or function of an existing feature. Often I have an object, especially circles, placed very percisely, usually centered inside another circle. Then later I find a need to enlarge the i...

Re: several small shapes into one

Hhhhmm... Ok, I need to use the outside of the circle of triangles as a clipping path, but NOT the inside. It's actually something that covers the inside part, that's blurred, and the blur shows between the triangles, that's what I want to clip away. So using the combined paths doesn't work, because...

Nice!
My only comment would be that I think she would look hotter with a little more muscle in her upper arms. Nothing like body builder, but just a little more. Unless you intend her appearance to be gaunt. If so, you've hit the mark.

You're clearly a very talented artist. Thanks for sharing!

[solved] several small shapes into one

Hi Friends, I have a situation that I can't figure out how to get what I need. I should be able to describe it, but if necessary, I can put up a sample. Just let me know? For example, I have 10 triangles arranged in a circle, so that one apex of each triangle points outside the circle. And the other...

Hi These are nothing fancy, but just something I've been working on. Playing with the Spirograph Effect. Somehow I saw the red and yellow ones resembling poinsettas. Then I decided to add some blue ones, which don't look like any flower I've ever seen, but it seems the color blue is often seen as a ...

Yeah, I've noticed that too, micro. I didn't mention it because I thought it might make my question confusing. But even taking that into consideration, still Inkscape's paint bucket tool sometimes completely fills areas outside the window, and sometimes it doesn't. And I'm just curious what is the m...

You're the first one reporting this issue, so so far no one ran into this yet or they didn't care.
