Re: increase/decrease object by a given border size ?

Tav wrote it to provide info for those who would work on the unit change. The technical info is still correct.

The linked extension doesn't work with Inkscape 0.92.2 as well as its modified version:

Re: Managing colours in palette or swatch question

Mailing lists are just the easiest way to contact as many developers as possible, independent of the time of day. They are spread around the globe, but everyone is subscribed to the list. They also may have turned off launchpad messages, because it's too much traffic to sanely digest. Just go ahead ...

For me, the snapping key is % (! inverts current selection). Maybe different with a Hungarian keyboard/language setting?

In the objects dialog, you should be able to do that. Object -> Objects (from 0.92 on)

Re: Some fonts are unavailable in version 0.92

Are you using the snap version of Inkscape? The snap package format can't access all fonts on a user's computer. As a fix, I'd suggest uninstalling the snap, then installing Inkscape from the ppa. Or you could copy all the fonts you need into the user's font directory. See https://forum.snapcraft.io...

Re: How to create cloned/tiled cubes?

To me, it looks like 5 rows of cubes in 5 columns, where each row and column is shifted by 50% of a cube.
You could tile those 25, and delete excess cubes afterwards (didn't test, just what I think this looks like)
Or you just use a grid to snap them to, might be faster.

Re: increase/decrease object by a given border size ?

(The scale setting is still useful for makers who need their numbers inside the SVG code in the correct unit, because their programs are broken and cannot read the viewbox, or for those who hand-write parts of their SVG. But it sure is an advanced setting.)

One of ha1flosse's T-Shirts in the wild (or rather, in the garden :-D):

I like it a lot, it's really good! Soft fabric, nice color, beautiful toucans, fun design, great quality and also made with Inkscape (in part) :D
So cool! Thank you, ha1flosse!

Re: Saving in PDF but PDF can't handle the size

You can click on 'Full Editor & Preview', then below the text field, select 'Attachments' and choose a file to attach. If it says that the file is too large, you may need to look into google drive, dropbox, or a similar file hoster, upload there and post the link here.

Re: Centerline Trace Error - no proper xml returned

@su_v: I've made a pull request at the centerline repo, adding your instructions to the README (I hope that's okay? I'm mostly using your exact words) @BjjB: I very much enjoy trying to help solve problems of Inkscape users, you're welcome! Admittedly, that's a lot harder for me to do if the issue i...

Re: Is there an Inkscape command line tutorial?

Yes, theozh, you cannot use any parameters, except for those mentioned on the man page and on the Xverbs Wiki page. The command line is mostly for im- and exporting files, and for making the changes that are available via --verb-list. It would require someone to work on making dialog options availab...

When does it say that things will be cut off? In which program? And when you try to do what exactly?

Re: Is there an Inkscape command line tutorial?

Creating files and saving them as Inkscape SVG is not supported, as far as I know... No wonder you can't find it... You could circumvent by exporting to plain SVG: -l, --export-plain-svg=FILENAME Or by opening an existing file with the correct name (you can create it programmatically, e.g. by copyin...

I don't know of any tutorials, sorry.

Have you looked at the man page?
