Re: [solved] Cutting and filling

Niets te danken, Kennin ;)

(The paint bucket can be used to fill areas that have the same color. It's not very precise, but often sufficient. Just select the tool, then click into an area of a single color (the area must be bounded, else it will not work).)

Re: Divide Multiple Paths Workflow?

sleep: Never tried it, but it could work. Only, if you don't have a subprocess running, time.sleep will halt the whole process. It should be possible to call another extension from an extension. Rather than doing this by invoking the extension via an 'inkscape' command, I would probably just include...

Re: Multi AI page

Feature requests can be made in the Inkscape bug tracker (adding this nice UI image may help - could you create a screenshot of this in English, too?).
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape (please, before posting the request, search if someone else has already requested it).

Re: stroke style between nodes

You can't do that in SVG, but you can 'break path at selected nodes' (node tool's tool bar, 4th button) and then do Path -> Break apart to split your path into separate objects which can then all have a different stroke style.

Re: inkscape keeps crashing

You need to expand the Input/Output section with the little arrow, sleven7. There's a whole dialog for Autosave. Do you use the Inkscape version from the ppa? Stable or trunk? Is there anything it says when it crashes? Does it make emergency saves (that would be said in a dialog that comes up when i...

Re: Strange Artefacts in Lasercutter Extension

@nexus77: where did you find that extension? It's not included in the default extensions that come with Inkscape, so you must have installed it from some external download some time. Your best chance of getting it fixed would be to contact the author of the extension about any errors it produces.

Re: How to slow down verbs

Could be a problem with the subprocesses I'm starting in the extension. Although the docs say that the way it is done, it will wait until it's finished... I'm not at all sure about this - or who to ask for help. Googling it didn't really get me any further. Shawn, can you post a file that contains t...

Re: Text won't go on path

Don't convert the text to path by doing 'object to path' with the text selected together with the circle.
Only text objects can be aligned with at circle. And the text becomes a path when you do 'Object to Path'.
Just select both, then use the Text -> Put on Path command.

Re: Strange Artefacts in Lasercutter Extension

Do you mean the GCode tools extensions or the one that is in the Extensions -> Export submenu? If it's the latter, please head over to the authors website: https://www.timewasters-place.com/

I believe there is an updated version available somewhere, too.

Re: convert text to path and animations

Simple strokes cannot have a variable width, so doing this directly may not be possible.
It may work using the text in the GreatVibes font as a clip, though.
You'd have to create the path that will be used for the animation manually, I think.

@Moini Are you still searching for a way to do all the objects so nothing overlaps? If so I think I found the loophole on how to get it done (Until I saw your script I was doing everything with macromaker needless to say your method is WAY faster xD) I have no clue on how to modify your extension f...

Right-click on the color indicator field for fill or stroke at the bottom left. There's a 'Swap fill and stroke' option, and a 'black' and 'white' option, too. Re: How Inkscape generate tikz code

Brynn has just mentioned this extension in another discussion: https://github.com/halamalala/inkscape2tikz

Unfortunately, it's no longer maintained, and will not work with Inkscape 0.91 (but might with 0.48.5)
