Re: dragon

I`d say the head on the left one should be narrower. Also, it looks like his head is tilted down and it does affect the appearance. Bodies are not quite similar. The left one is well fed ,) and it affects the spacing of the inner elements. For the head, I`d make nose, "ears" and eyes more...

Re: dragon

To me, your drawings on paper are much much more appealing than vectorized ones. ..yeah, to me too and i've been thinking about that and the transformation of the drawing by tracing it. the colors and overdrawing of the sketches are maybe interesting for the human eye. whatever, the traced image is...

Re: dragon

In order to make it more convincing, as if it`s made of paper, perhaps you should add a few more pattern elements on his body. A few, meaning as much as needed to connect body lines and all of the elements inside. Or at lest, connect the existing ones. A few nice touches would be welcomed on the ba...

Re: dragon

There are a couple of issues here and there....but it depends on what you mean by "papercut - style". If it means that you're planning to cut it with home/craft cutter, or CNC, it will be a problem that the outer path is broken in couple of places. And a few other issues, if you are plann...

Re: svg to/from embroidery converter

What about the extension which is the subject of this thread (http://svg2embr.wasbo.net/index.php). Were you able to try it? yes, i've been converting simple forms using the web-extension and it works nicely, thanks to the author! but the extension only converts path lines and is only accessible vi...

Re: textile art

..glad you were surprised and this is not too boring. you see it is in the eyes of the beholder. i'm not aiming for symbolic meanings with the pattern, just wanted to mix up the tiles a bit to something interesting as there are a lot of possibilities - the circle is just one of them. but you ask the...

..as you said texture in 3d is related to images mapped onto surfaces. isn't a texture overlay in inkscape almost the same except there are no 3d just 2d coordinates for objects? the svg was just the sketch for the textures, what means i used for example the ripples by scaling them to the faces of t...

..hey brynn, thanks for the reply! agreed, the texture isn't that prominent but regarding the simple style of the other fish in the scene its all right. the screenshot and the game are realtime renderings in blenders game engine. the textures of the yellow fish were drawn in inkscape (the textureske...
