Re: Latest Inkscape drawing

That's pretty crazy! I love the level of detail of the skittles! Also the color composition is pretty unusual and extremely bright, but yet fits perfectly well! The only thing, I don't like that much, is the background. Has way fewer details and the semitransparent shadows and lights don't make too ...

Re: Tshirt design Technical University Vienna

@Druban: Thanks! I like the idea of using the french territory with the flag on it, I will give it a try :) I'm on your side, about the second one. It isn't very creative, but I wanted to do some shading and thought "why not combine it with the competition". @Brynn: Thank you! I'm glad you...

Re: East Java - Vector Design > irfanow

Your latest one looks pretty good, it has an interesting shape! What looks a bit strange to me: - on the sides of the lock you made some nice edges, but on top and bottom the lock looks like the graphic is just cut or something - The upper part of the lock looks a bit 3D but the yellow/black beam is...

Re: Op-art-ish and such

Wow! Really interesting what you're doing with Inkscape. I've got the feeling that you like the golden ratio ;) What I thought about when i saw that double spiral was: If one spiral would have the gradient mirrored so that the golden part is on the outside, you could create a pretty neat texture! Ho...

Re: iTanky IOS app graphics

Wow, nice trailer! I've got no iOS device so I can't play it, but what I can say from the trailer and the screenshots from Facebook: The cracks look amazing, the level buttons, especially the first one's with grass look great and it seems to work really well. It also appears to me, that the sizes of...

Re: animated short film

Wow, that looks good! What I really like is, that it feels finished and really that's something when talking about short films! As brynn mentioned, the walking cycle for walking from one side to the other doesn't look that good for walking from the back to the front. Great job, looking to see more f...

Re: Difficulty opening large files

@SymphonicFire: You could try to open it with Google Chrome or IfranView 1.3MB do not sound that big. If you want you can also send me the File and I can export it for you to png or PDF. @xt828: Maybe you will also run into the same problems I had, saving such big files... solution is here: http://w...

Re: Big Bitmap Pictures in svg file won't convert to eps or

Thanks Brynn, you're my Hero! So here is what happened (While I did the test I had my task manager opened to see whether memory usage decreases): I created a file, this time being 147 MB, with multiple layers, gradients text and of course bitmap images. I tried to convert it to pdf and eps. As expec...

Big Bitmap Pictures in svg file won't convert to eps or pdf

Hey there! I'm just trying to create a poster with Inkscape. It has a lot of vectorelements but also five photos in it. The poster will be printed at 2 meters x 1 meter, so the photos have to have a high quality. My problem now is, that the svg file got a bit big (123MB). It is just impossible to co...

Re: Dillerkind's image pool

Hey Dillerkind, I just love your shading techniques, and I'm really impressed what you're getting out of Inkscape. I would love to see your workflow, especially how you digitalize your pictures... do you work with mouse or a graphic Tablet? Your latest drawing: His right arm looks a bit strange... I...

Nice! You got what I meant with more curves :D I agree with all sugesstiones of Brynn, and I'm also very pleased to see, that your character got the typr of person I imagined from your description. She looks strong, selfconfident and has beliveable proportiones. I also see, that you're trying some d...

Hey there! At first I want to point out that the face of the second version is waaaay better, I really like it. Here are some things I think you could improve. (I made a little sketch for a better understanding) http://www.abload.de/img/unbenannt5ykey.png FACE - I think the eyebrows are slightly too...

Wow, this stufff is awesome! Great work, I'm impressed how much is possible with Inkscape! I especially love the realistic drawing, those eyes and lips seem to bem more realistic than in reality ;) Anyway, there's a small mistake over her left ear, theres a black rectangle. How did you do that, what...

Facebook-Fakebook resources

Hi everybody, I started Inkscape because for my last schoolday we created Facebook-Profiles for them with their hobbys and so on. The Posters had the size of A0 so I couldn`t use Gimp. I think the result is very cool and I want to share my work with you. The resource I?m providing is a blank faceboo...
