Is there a way i can create (2D) realistic elevator buttons in Inkscape?

I suppose i should specify what the elevator buttons specifically lead to,

There is a button leading to the 3F, another to the 2F, and another to the 1F.. There is also a button that leads to the Basement Level (B).

Any tips, hints or tutorials would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

Button tutorials are abundant online, so I'd surf google images for "button tutorial" and google image search "elevator buttons vector". After that, if you have more specific questions on how to achieve a particular effect in Inkscape, chime back.
Have a nice day.

I'm using Inkscape 0.92.2 (5c3e80d, 2017-08-06), 64 bit win8.1

The Inkscape manual has lots of helpful info! http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/MANUAL/html/

Super-realism can be achieved even in vector graphics. Take a look at these from the Inkscape website gallery:

https://inkscape.org/en/~TimJones/%E2%9 ... per-sprint
https://inkscape.org/en/~DanielL/%E2%98 ... car-brabus

Or the famous Drums example:

I suggest you search through Open clip art submissions https://openclipart.org, then when you find something similar to your needs, import through the Import Clip Art... option in Inkscape (under File menu).

Maybe something like this:

just hand over the chocolate and nobody gets hurt

I think I posted a tutorial in this forum....somewhere....years and years ago. You could try searching the forum.

I have a couple of tutorials for Engraved Text and Embossed Text. It's a very similar concept for buttons which appear to be pressed or not pressed. It's just that the buttons would look much "taller" or "deeper" than text (which you can adjust by how far away you move the various pieces). These tutorials will explain:

Note that those tutorials would create something very, very basic. No bells and whistles like glowing buttons or metallic or whatever.
