Spraying within specific shape

Postby Agronomo » Wed Aug 23, 2017 1:11 am

Hello guys,

I am need a hand on how get spray tool inside an specific shape. As you can see in the picture, I am interested to represent levels of disease in that root, but it would be painfully hard placing one by one. With the spray tool I can randomly distribute them. The only problem is focusing on the plant shape.

Anyone knows how can I solve that?

thank you

Did you forget the picture?

I think there might be a way to do this. I've never tried it myself. But I notice on the Spray tool control bar, there are a couple of buttons which allow you to spray only on transparent areas or only on not transparent areas. (The 2 eye icons.)

So you could temporarily fill the shape with a solid color, and set to spray on not transparent areas. Or vice versa, which would take a little more work.

And there are a few other ways to approach it. For example, make the sprayed shapes into a pattern, and fill with the new pattern.

Making the sprayed shape into a pattern is probably the best way to do this.
