Hi sergi,
You can't upload images as attachments in this Finished Inkscape Work forum. You have to use a host, as I indicated in my previous message. Then you can insert the image into the message, using the URL of the hosted (elsewhere) image.

But if you're having a problem with an image, you should post a message in the Help Using Inkscape forum. Attachments ARE allowed in that forum :D

Also, I don't think SVGZ are allowed. But regular SVG, along with raster formats such as PNG, JPG, etc are allowed....in the Help forum.

Hi brynn,

Can you type an example url to load a pic, as it would happen on our post message screen?
I couldn't figure out if it's the embed link, page url, or another link that deviant art gives you.
Thanks,
~Lady Sapphire

It's a quite simple test, but this was one of my first drawings in Inkscape:

Re: Your first Inkscape drawing - Thank's Inkscape!

Postby 69NovaGuy » Tue Apr 12, 2011 2:24 pm

Thank you Inkscape!

I'm not a graphic artist but I wanted to put my car's name on her door.
She's a 69 Nova that I've worked on for the last two years, doing almost everything myself with
the help of a good friend.
My plan is for her to look like a 70's drag car, all stickered up with "Hooker Headers" and STP decals and such.
Her name is "NightShift" (Most of the work I've done at night and she has a stick shift)

Here she is.

Image

So I drew up my idea.

Then I drew a better one.

Then I tried what I had (word, paint, powerpoint just to make something. I'll save you from those.

While surfing about graphic arts I found Inkscape! My friend told me about dafont and here I am!

Image

Then I figured out that i could import the car and paste my stickers on! WOW! HOW COOL IS THAT!
I'm still playing with it but I'm sure you will get the idea.

One more pic.

I'll post pics as soon as the graphics are applied.

Thanks again Inkscape and you wonderful, question answering foruml!

Nice Chris!
I'm not a car person, but even I can appreciate this -- both the work on the car, and with Inkscape :D

Card game: I Know You!
Releasing in July 2011

It took me a while to master Inkscape, producing similar quality as of Illustrator. Happy Inkscaping!

Party/Family/Clubbing Card Game: I Know You!

Postby zhone » Thu Jun 30, 2011 6:51 pm

Image Image

Hi guys, I have just recently designed a card game for clubbing, party and family fun time. It will probably be available by end of July 2011, currently in the middle of pre-production.

The design is based on the philosophy of "Seek to understand, then to be understood". By picking up your friends, siblings, colleague and probably the charmed ones' thoughts, you could win the game and hopefully indirectly expand/improve the circle of your social life.

Hope you like it!

This is my first inkscape product and definitely not the last. Thanks to those generous guys behind the development of Inkscape!

Here is my first image made with Inkscape v 0.48 Image
Maybe not as good as the others I have made, but my first attempt to create a full image and use a variety of tools.

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

A nice little piece of clipart! I'm not sure if it could be improved upon.....maybe a little moon reflection/glow on the water? Maybe? But for improving your Inkscape skills in general, you might try making larger images. I've found that very different skills and techniques are required for making very small images, compared to larger ones.

Welcome to InkscapeForum!

Yes, Inkscape IS incredible :D Looks like you learn fast, because that's really nice work for a first try! I like the sheer fabric of the blouse. It's very effective and adds a kind of gentle feeling to the portrait.

I hope you enjoy your time here :D

Thank you brynn (God bless) & yes I will enjoy my time with Inkscape. It's very relaxing & a great avenue for creativity. I'm working on some galactic scenes with Star Trek space vessels. When finished, I dont know If I can post them here.
