Sam, our French translator, has created a piece of Greys fan art, based on Herbie Hancock's "Head Hunters" album:

Hi Xav! I left a comment on your page but I thought I would point out here that the contest was obviously rigged!
01111011 + 10101110 = 100101001, not 00101010.
Since i am human, or once was, I declare the issue resolved. Biological intelligence has finally been achieved.
In an Inkscape related coincidence, Inkscape's entry boxes now do math for you, so you can enter a math expression instead of a number.
Also designed by biologicals, i might point out.
Your mind is what you think it is.

Thanks for checking out the comic druban. I've left a reply to your comment on our site, but the short version is that the strip says "&" not "+"...

Off topic:
i changed the AND operator to a +. I cite the Kobayashi-Maru-Kirk precedent.
I don't believe in the no-win scenario!
While you were responding to my post a lethal amount of corbomite was slipped into your website. Sorry!

:D I can see I'm up against a clever yet nefarious opponent!

In Boolean algebra (at least the way I was taught it at University, many moons ago) "+" is used for the OR operator, and "." for the AND. Which means that 011+001 gives a different result depending on whether you're using traditional algebra (addition operator, 100 as a result) or Boolean algebra (OR operator, 011 as the result).

This is a BONUS comic, which references a (fairly) topical subject, so we've posted it off our usual fortnightly schedule. Because of the topical nature, we've decided to post it even though we haven't finished drawing the Easter Egg yet, so for the time being there's no SVG file to download for this one. We hope to have that corrected in a couple of days, and I'll post here again when it's available.

It took a little longer than planned to finish the Easter Egg, but now the Inkscape SVG file for our latest strip is online in both English and French. It's one of our favourite Easter Eggs to date, so do download it and check it out.

Latest super-topical bonus strip:

Monday 6th August, 2012: "A Curious Opportunity"

As is often the case, trying to get a topical strip out quickly means that the Easter Egg isn't finished yet, so no SVG file to download at the moment. I'll post here in a few days when it's available.

The Inkscape SVG file for 'A Curious Opportunity' is now online. If you're looking for the Easter Egg, you might want to remind yourself of the one from 'War of the Worlds Part I' first.

Latest comic:

Thursday 6th September, 2012: "Paralympians"

Note: This is another topical strip, so has been posted as soon as the main strip is 'complete'. We're still working on the Easter Egg, however, and intend to make some more tweaks to the main strip, so there's not yet an SVG file to download - it should get posted (together with an updated PNG of the main strip) in the next day or two.

It's with great satisfaction that I'm posting this link to our latest comic, as it's a bit of a landmark for us: we're now into triple digits! Yes, this is our 100th Greys comic!!!

To celebrate, we've also included a hand-drawn sketch and a bonus strip. Our translators have been extremely supportive, as ever, so that we are able to post this simultaneously in English, French, Indonesian, Italian and Russian!

Thursday 25th October, 2012 - our 100th strip: "Centenary Correspondence"

And that's not just 100 comics. That's 100 comics, complete with Inkscape SVG source files to download, each with at least one Easter Egg hidden away in it somewhere (which are often whole extra strips). It's thousands of hours of work, and quite a lot of storage space and bandwidth. Our hosting charges have more than quadrupled since we started, so if you've been enjoying our work then please do consider making a small donation or buying a CD.

For the 101st strip we decided to put in a lot of props and characters from the past 100. It's a cheap and easy way to fill up a scene, but also a slight nod to the flashback episodes that so many programmes lazily use.

WARNING: this comic is all about swearing in sci-fi, so does contain some strong language which may offend particularly sensitive readers.

Xav,
I don't get to the Greys website as often as I'd like, so from time To time I miss a new comic, until it shows up here.
I especially liked the 100th anniversary and filmnesia comics.
Unfortunately I'm addicted to hunting for easter eggs. Do you have any idea how long it took me to recognize one when I found it, and figure out they weren't like this? --->Image
Why, oh why didnt I notice the explanation of easter eggs ...that is so clearly posted on the website?!
Thanks for keeping us up to date with the greys, and belated congrats on your 100th.

Edit: PS, I really loved the Kerplunk comic to. I'm still laughing everytime I think about that one.
